SMU School of Accountancy (SOA) is one of the six schools at Singapore Management University (SMU). The curriculum is modeled after that of the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton school of business. SMU and the Wharton School of business formed a partnership in 1999, establishing the Wharton–SMU Research Center, and continue to collaborate in areas such as course design and faculty development.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=https://global.wharton.upenn.edu/institutional-relationships/ )〕 SMU requires undergraduates to complete a minimum of 36 modules, 16 of which fall outside their area of specialization. Students are also required to complete 10 weeks of internship and 80 hours of community service in order to graduate with the Bachelor of Accountancy. Students may elect to pursue a second major or double degree in another discipline. In 2014, 70% of the accountancy cohort graduated with a second major or degree.
